Physics Help

Recently a student came to us and asked for the answer of the following question and then went offline. That is why we always suggest students to provide email address so that we provide you with solution to the email address in case we break our conversation in between due to technical faults. Anyway, if the student is browsing us at website or here, he may get help. I am posting his question and answer:

Question : A 5.4 x 10-9 C charge is located 3.0 m from a -3.8 x 10-9 C charge. Find the electrostatic force exerted by one charge on the other.

Anwer :

F = k q1 q2 / r^2
F = (9 x 109 ) 5.4 x 10-9 x 3.8 x 10-9 / 3^2 = 2.1 x 10-8 N
